Lady Knights 3rd Goal against 49er Storm

Emily started the play with a throw in in the right channel. Amanda was first to the ball and took a shot that was partially blocked by a defender who sent the ball in the direction of Ally. Ally took a shot at goal hitting a defender and allowing the ball to bounce ball inside the goalie's box. Ally then took another shot at goal with her left foot that hit the same defender bouncing the ball back in play. With her back to the goal, Ally took a shot to the right corner while making a whole turn, the ball slowly crossed the line beating the goalie and scoring the 3rd goal for our team.

Shelby performed a long throw-in toward the opponents goal box, a defender cleared the ball that went toward Ally. Ally cushioned the ball, did a short self pass and then took a shot at goal. A defender deflected the ball trying to clear it, allowing the first goal for our team.

Lady Knights 1st Goal against Manteca Rangers

Stella received the ball near the arch of the penalty box and started to dribble forward, a defender charged from behind committing a foul. A direct free kick was awarded to our team. Jessie took a strong shot that sailed toward the upper right side of the goalie scoring the first goal for our team.

Lady Knights 1st Goal against Orangevale Scorpions

Jessie performed an offensive throw in on the left channel toward Emma. She positioned herself in front of a defender then she moved behind the defenders when Jessie performed the throw in. The bouncing ball passed between 2 defenders. Emma took advantage of her position and kicked the ball above the goalie scoring the first goal for our team.

Lady Knights 6th Goal against 49er Storm

Amanda performed a goal kick that sailed toward Jessie at midfield, an opponent tried to control the ball, however Jessie put pressure and stole the ball, dribbling forward on a breakaway, then took a low shot at the left side of the goalie scoring the 6th goal for our team.

Mo received the ball on the right channel and passed it to Jessie, a defender tried to intercept the ball sending it back to Mo. Mo chipped the ball to Ally who partially controlled the ball in mid air allowing it to bounce toward Jessie. Jessie did not hesitate to kick the ball and with a first touch sent the ball on the air to the right post beating the goalie for the fourth time.

Emily performed another throw in for our team toward Emma. Emma let the ball bounce once prior to making a back pass to Amanda, who with the first touch made the ball sail above the goalie scoring the 4th goal for our team.

Jessie took a corner kick sending a low ball toward the penalty box, a defender deflected the ball and Mo took possession by cutting the ball while being back to the goal. Mo turned and took a shot that was deflected by a defender beating the goalie for the second time.

This goal was a true team effort, the ball was fought at midfield by both teams. Madeline chipped the ball in the left channel to Stella who dribbled the ball beating 2 defenders prior to sending a cross that beat the goalie and a defender. Shelby was well positioned near the post and with a first touch scored the second goal for our team.

Samarah kicked the ball from the Lady Knights penalty box toward midfield, Jessie controlled the ball and run forward on the right channel, she passed the ball to Stella, however, a defender was able to get to the ball first kicking the ball in her own goal while trying to clear it, making the third goal for our team. Natalie passed the ball to Jessie who lifted the ball toward Emma. Emma controlled the ball and passed it to Jessie who run toward the middle, waited for the goalie to come out of the box and chipped the ball making it sail on top of the goalie scoring the second goal for our team.

This is an exciting goal. Shelby contained a penalty kick, then quickly performed a strong punt toward the midfield line, Emma received the ball and with a first touch passed it to Jessie who without hesitation did a self pass moving forward. Before the goalie was able to get the ball, Jessie fired a strong shot with her left, scoring the first goal for our team. GO LADY KNIGHTS !!!

The aggressiveness and the desire to win is reflected in this video. Emily and Jessica fought hard to get the ball with the support of their team mates. A series of rebounds and short passes allowed Emily to control the ball, then performed a short pass to Jessie who with a self pass fired a strong shot that hit the horizontal bar. Emily did not hesitate to get the ball and took a shot that was blocked by the opponent's goalie. It was the best game of the tournament.
