The "Lady Bugs" Youth Soccer Team finished the 1999-2000 soccer season with an easy win against the Storms. The "Lady Bugs" team was undefeated in the 10 games played. The final score was 5 - 1 win. Now they are ready for the playoffs.

This game was played at Octo Inn Soccer Complex on Saturday, November 13, 1999. It started at 9:00 am in a beautiful sunny and warm morning.

In the first quarter, the "Lady Bugs" team dominated and attacked constantly. At the sixth  minute Taylour took advantage of a bouncing ball from the Storm's defender and with a right shot scored the first goal for the "Lady Bugs". In the eighth minute, Taylour surprised the Storm's goalie and defenders by pursuing a ball that appeared to go out of the field. However, Taylour run as fast as she could and kicked the ball placing it inside the Storm's goal. This quarter ended with a "Lady Bugs" early win of 2 - 0. Wendy played goalie in this quarter without any effort at all. Bethany and Jessica defended really well. Sarah and Rebecca contained the Storm's midfield. Rebecca was persistent in the attack and almost scored a goal. Lisa was always fighting the ball and also trying to score.

In the second quarter, the "Lady Bugs" team came back determine to increase the score. It was Lisa's time to score. At the third minute, Lisa took the ball on the left side of the field and with a powerful spoon kick from the middle of the Storm's field scored the best goal of the game. The ball crossed the Storm's line at the goalie's shoulder level. Two minutes later, Lisa scored another goal after retrieving the ball from the left side of the field. Near the end of this quarter, Lisa again scored her third personal goal and the fifth for the "Lady Bugs". She was always fighting to get the ball. Wendy played goalie allowing only one goal in this game, while Corina and Bethany played defense. Taylour was also constantly attacking as forward. Sarah and Gigi played midfield defending and attacking constantly, showing a great team effort. 

In the third quarter, Vanessa was the goalie and defended her goal very well. At the fourth minute, Lisa took a powerful shot which almost ended up inside the goal box, however, the Storm's goalie blocked it. Jessica and Wendy improved tremendously containing the Storm's attack. Corina and Rebecca showed enthusiasm and character controlling the Storm's attack. Rebecca also showed determination in pursuing the ball and almost scored a goal in this quarter. Lisa and Taylour continued to charge trying to score more goals.

During the fourth quarter, Sarah was the goalie for the "Lady Bugs". Vanessa and Rebecca played forward, Jessica and Wendy defended the "Lady Bugs" area, Bethany and Gigi played midfield. Vanessa showed great enthusiasm playing as forward.

The "Lady Bugs" soccer team will be playing the FUN TOURNAMENT this coming Saturday 20, 1999 among the four top teams. The "Lady Bugs" team was undefeated in this soccer season.

A special gathering to celebrate with an award ceremony has been scheduled for Sunday, November 21, 1999 at 4:00 pm in the Round Table Pizza of Suisun City. The celebration is expected to have the parents, siblings, grandparents and followers of the "Lady Bugs"  Youth Soccer Team.
