The "Lady Bugs" Youth Soccer Team
continues to be undefeated in this season. The game against the Mustangs was well played,
with the goals being scored in the first and fourth quarters by an aggressive offense. The
score of 3 - 0 shows that our girls really want to win in their games. |

This game was played at Dover Middle School on October 09, 1999. It
started at 10:15 am. In the first quarter Taylour
scored the first goal assisted by Corina, one of our younger players. Vanessa, the "Lady Bugs" goalie saved a great shot
from one of the Mustangs' strikers.
In the second quarter, our players tried to score again while
Bethany, Taylour, and Lisa had good chances to score. Vanessa continued to save and
contained the Mustang's shots. Jessica played really well in the defense, always keeping
her area well covered and taking the ball from the Mustang's strikers.
The third quarter was played very well by both
teams, the "Lady Bugs" forwards were always trying to add more goals and the Mustangs' players
also tried to tie the game. Corina displayed aggressiveness by dribbling from her
own field toward the Mustangs' goalie. Rebecca, Taylour and Sarah tried to score with long
shots. Wendy and Jessica also defended really well in this quarter.
During the fourth quarter, the "Lady Bugs" players came back to the
field determined to win the game. Bethany retrieved the ball in midfield, with a long run she dribbled more than 3 of the Mustangs' defenders
and scored the second goal with a right kick. She placed the ball between the right
post and the goalie. The celebration was really loud and noisy. As the minutes passed by, Lisa
took the ball in the left side of the field and with the assist of Taylour scored the
third goal with a strong kick to the right side of the goalie.
The players alternated positions within the game. Our goalie for this game was
Vanessa. Bethany, Wendy and Jessica played defense. Jessica played her best game to
date. The midfield also played a great game, containing the Mustangs' attack. Our
midfielders were Sarah, Corina, Rebecca and Gigi. Lisa, Taylour, and Corina played
forwards in this game. |
