The game was held at the Octo Inn Soccer Sports Complex in Fairfield,
California on Saturday, September 18, 1999. The game started at 3:15 pm. Taylour scored the first goal in the first minute
of the game, after taking the ball near the Magic's end zone, to the surprise of the
goalie.
On the second quarter, Sarah scored the second goal at the third
minute. Sarah took the ball from one of the Magic's players and dribbled running toward
the goal. The Magic's goalie could not avoid our second goal. Later on, Lisa
scored the third goal with a long kick at the right side of the goalie.
During the third quarter, Bethany scored the fourth
goal as a result of a fast run at the center and a hard kick. She took the ball at the
center of the field, and dribbled straight toward the goal passing two defenders. Near the
end of the third quarter, Corina (one of our younger players) retrieved
the ball on the left middle field and advanced toward the Magic's end zone. She dribbled
on the left and outrun several players. Corina then moved toward the right and scored the
fifth goal with a strong kick to the left side of the goalie. She was persistent in
getting the ball after a rebound.
In the fourth quarter, the "Lady Bugs"
dominated completely and played aggressively trying to score more goals. Several shots hit
the posts. Near the end, a fast run by Taylour on the right ended up in a
shot from her, scoring the sixth goal by placing it on the left side of the goalie.
We missed Vanessa in this game. The players alternated positions within the game. Our
goalies for this game were Rebecca and Sarah. The defenders were Bethany, Wendy, Jessica,
Rebecca. The midfield was composed by Sarah, Corina, Gigi. Our strikers were Lisa, Jessica
and Taylour.
Parents, grandparents and siblings of the "Lady Bugs"
showed a great support in this game. The typical Go Go Lady Bugs was
