Huanchaco

A "grief with tondero fugue" (Triste con Fuga de Tondero) which describes the hard labor of the local fishermen at the small harbor of Huanchaco, a main touristic attraction of the Trujillo region. The music was composed by Florencio Huaychac, based on the lyrics of Cristóbal Campana.

Malabrigo

"Malabrigo ... northern port ... you will always be with me, like a dream" ... (puerto norteño.. siempre estarás conmigo, como en un sueño)... This is another well known "grief with a tondero fugue" - Triste con Fuga de Tondero. Malabrigo is another small town of fishermen.

Trujillo Mío

"Trujillo, my beloved Trujillo... there is no sun such as your sun... Land of beautiful women and men with valor... Trujillo... even though I am far away from you, I will always have you in my heart. ("Trujillo, Trujillo Mío ... no hay un sol como tu sol... Tierra de hermosas mujeres y hombres con pundonor... Trujillo... aunque esté lejos, te llevo en mi corazón" ) ... This piece with the appropriate words and a melody full of nostalgia, was composed by Doña Rosa Mercedes Ayarza de Morales, who was always promoting the Peruvian music and rhythms.
